THINGS TO CONSIDER
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE AREA
VENUES
Not sure where to start? Sometimes it's better to choose venue over location to get the perfect look and feel that you're searching for.
For incredible open gardens and greenery Braeside Chapel in Merrimac, Gold Coast is an incredibly beautiful venue. From tents, a pool, hanging lights, an incredible indoor modern barn-style reception hall and even a fire pit, this location is perfect for any time of year.
Want something a little different? The Borrowed Nursery in Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast is the perfect location for something quaint, full of potted greenery and pastel concrete feels. Every space is different so you can get an arrangement of wedding photos without having to walk far in heels!
LOCATIONS
Prefer to choose location over venue? Whether you're wanting something beachy, tropical, full of greenery or classic and modern - the Gold Coast has everything you could ask for in a wedding destination.
Mount Tamborine is the perfect, winding castle on the hill location. With everything from rainforests, adorable Air BNB's, brewery's and cliffs overlooking the incredible expanse of the Gold Coast - perfect for those soft rainforest vibes.
Not too far from the central Gold Coast area is the incomparable Byron Bay. From hinterlands to clear open beaches and amazing accommodation this is the most beautiful, easily accessible and diverse wedding location for any look and feel you're searching for.
TIME OF YEAR
But when should you get married? Of course you should take into consideration important dates to you and your partner, as well as public holidays to make travelling easy (or for avoiding higher prices). But you should also take into account the best season for the area.
The Gold Coast is known for being warmer and often more humid during the warmer months, so for the perfect not-too-hot-that-the-in-laws-complain weather we thoroughly recommend getting married at the tail end of winter (late August) or early Spring (September - October) if you're planning to stay in the area. Leaving? Escape the cold by setting the date for late April/early May.
Another thing to consider is when peak season hits - you can find this information generally from hotel booking sites to see when prices spike.
ACCOMODATION
But where will you stay? This day is about pampering yourself, which means that you should be able to come home to incredible, clean and friendly accommodation.
The Palazzo Versace is known for it's amazing honeymoon suites - and it's right on the beach! Located in the beautiful Main Beach area, you'll have an amazing view of the water while being close enough to the city to go exploring on your time off. This location oozes luxury and pool-side relaxation.
Air BNB! Not too sure what you're after? You can have the pick of the bunch from hiring out entire houses on the water to something a little more budget friendly. From rainforest treehouses deep in the Gold Coast hinterlands so you can escape the world to top floor penthouses in the heart of the city, you'll certainly find exactly what you're looking for.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
YOUR SPECIAL DAY
WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU?
This is a big question - but it's important to ask "What Would We Regret Not Having?". Often couples make decisions based on budget, or through family influence. Think of yourself in the future; would you regret not having a video? Or family photos with grandparents? Do you want to have a group shot with the whole family, or should the focus have been on just you? Asking other couples who have gotten married is the best first step in deciding what wedding photography and videography packages to choose.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE?
Pinterest is your best friend. We recommend having an idea of what you want the photo and video look and feel to be before the wedding to work with your theme, colour palette and venue. This will also help your photographer or videographer take the photos that will suit your dream wedding album to perfection.
BUDGET
What can you afford? It's one of the biggest questions when planning a wedding. There's flowers, rings, food, venues, celebrants and cakes. Budgeting is an incredibly important part of planning your wedding, and that's why we're transparent with our pricing - this helps you to factor in the important services into your budget right at the beginning.
WEDDING DAY TIMELINE
What's happening and when? Having a good understanding and detailed timeline of your wedding will help you decide what kind of wedding package is best for you. Not sure? Ask your wedding planner or venue to help you get an idea of what the timeline will look like on the day.
